Thanks to its tight control and regularity it provides a unique overview of how robust and effective a solution is over time. We are delighted SpamTitan anti spam consistently achieves high marks. The November VBspam+ award is now the 24thconsecutive award for SpamTitan thanks to the continuous hard work of the SpamTitan developers.

The November Virus Bulletin test commented on the CryptoLocker virus which has been making the headlines since late summer. CryptoLocker spreads via spam, it only takes one email containing the CryptoLocker virus to slip through the filter, and one user to be tricked into clicking a link or opening an attachment for an organization to be exposed to a nasty malware infection. Luckily for users of SpamTitan the solution’s powerful double anti-virus engine has been successful in detecting and blocking this ransomware, preventing it from entering user organisations.
